The Coz Sponge Cake of Monastery of Coz reinvigoration, came about through a partnership between the Sponge Cake of Alfeizerão House and Centro de Bem-Estar da freguesia de Coz, inserted in Coz’Art project, in order to recover the old recipe of the nuns who occupied the Monastery of Santa Maria of Coz.

A journey back in time, takes us to Alfeizerão on a calm and serene day, during D. Carlos kingdom, in which the sponge cake cooking was complete - Coz Sponge Cake was discovered - cake that accompanied portuguese sailors on their travels, is now recovered at the same time with the Coz Monastery, that gave him his name.
